BIOGRAPHY

 
Whitney Mensink is an experienced private flute teacher and performer in the Russellville, Arkansas area. She has over a decade of private teaching experience and works with students of all ages and levels. 
 
All of her private students have received Superiors at Solo and Ensemble as well as State Solo and Ensemble. Students have been awarded scholarships to attend prestigious colleges such as Florida State University and Berklee College of Music.

As a performer, Whitney has won multiple concerto competitions giving her the opportunity to be a soloist with both band and orchestras. She has served as the principal flute in orchestras, concert bands, chamber ensembles, and pit orchestras. She has performed in masterclasses with Mary Karen Clardy, Susan Hoeppner, Cleveland Orchestra's Josuha Smith, and more.
 
She holds an undergraduate degree in Music Education (Secondary and Elementary) from Utah State University and a masters degree in Flute Performance from the University of Miami. Whitney's primary teachers include Edna Comenchero, Leslie Timmons, and Trudy Kane.
